Jesse Emge, PhD

A group of three people, a man, a woman, and a young girl in a toy car, smiling and posing outdoors with a background of buildings and other people.

I grew up in my father’s cabinet shop and learned early that careful, honest work matters. After undergrad I worked as a journeyman carpenter with Habitat for Humanity NYC, then earned a PhD in Energy Economics focused on residential energy-efficiency policy—while running a residential maintenance company to stay close to the work. Over the last 15 years I’ve operated a home-improvement business in Los Angeles and San Diego and consulted on California energy policy, helping translate what actually saves energy and improves comfort in real homes.

After moving to Mono County several years ago—and completing two of my own remodels—we expanded operations into Mono and Inyo counties to help our friends and neighbors with quality home repairs and improvements that help homes perform and look their best. From small fixes to full remodels, we bring a mix of hands-on craft and data-driven judgment to every project, and we’re happy to talk through energy-efficiency audits and utility rebates when they make sense.
